Hi everyone, Ive only posted once before when our pup ripped one - TopicsExpress

Hi everyone, Ive only posted once before when our pup ripped one of his claws out, you were all lovely and we are very thankful that very warm salty water plus a sock helped him a lot and its healed with no infection :) So thank you!! I do have a question though, our pup is is a Bug (Pug/Boston Terrier cross), hes absolutely gorgeous BUT he wont leave our older dog alone. Our older dog (8 with arthritic hips) is the softest dog going and lets the pup bite his neck. He cries when the pup hurts him but the pup keeps going back for more. Sometimes whens hes really had enough then hell tell the pup by using his head to push the pup away and barking at the same time but the pup goes back for more. Because the pup is smaller than our older dog he very often goes for his legs, having a crafty nip :/ Weve done the ignoring him when he does it with us and we now give him a time out when our older dog cries. We dont want to intervene when this is happening, we really want our older dog to assert his authority!! We feed him first and greet him first if we go out. Both dogs are walked every day. So (without anyone being testy with me please), what else can we do? Oh he hasnt been done yet. Any advice would be greatfully received.
