Hi everyone! Kylie is still doing so wonderful mood wise! I finally got her to belly laugh again.. It was the most precious thing ever. She had a great few days playing in the playroom for hours with sweet Margo and enjoyed her afternoon outside watching planes fly by. We talked to her oncologist today and we set up a plan of things we want to accomplish. We dont have a timeline yet, but we have a plan! We talked about one more round of chemo, radiation, another VIP treatment and even antibodies! It was really nice hearing the dr talk about antibodies because a month or so ago it wasnt even in the picture. Go Kylie! Unfortunately, her VIP is still there and going strong. Her doctors are working on getting all the info they need about a drug in Switzerland that sounds promising. We are very excited about this! This afternoon one of the other neuroblastoma oncologists came into discuss them using Kylie in a study because her case is so uniquely different. Of course we said yes, why wouldnt we! But the dr warned us that it will be able to tell Luke and I possibly who, if either of us, she got this from... If Luke or I are at risk for getting cancer ourselves and what specifically, and if our future children will be at risk for getting neuroblastoma as well. Some people after hearing this dont want to know these things so they opt out, but for us, if we are going to get cancer we want to know so we can make sure we stay up to date with our own appointments, obviously we want to know if we had more children, if they would be at risk, and if it could possibly help another child somewhere down the road, then thats the most important thing. As you say your prayers for Kylie tonight, please dont forget all the other warriors out there battling everyday!
