Hi everyone, Pastor Stephan, David Moorley and I had a nice visit with Jerry this afternoon. We asked his nurse today (Lauren) if she’d seen Jerry’s movie yet, and she said she hasn’t but would love to see it. I routed through Jerry’s stuff and was able to find it for her, so she was excited and said she’d look at it today. Jerry seemed very tired but Lauren said that he was less tired today than yesterday. We asked her what pain meds he’s on (wondering if he’s a bit sedated), but Lauren said he’s not on pain meds anymore! Wow! That’s fantastic. He looked very comfortable sitting in the reclining wheelchair. Thank You, God! He still has a feeding tube and a “nothing by mouth” order, but Lauren said the physiotherapist will be checking his swallowing before he starts eating or drinking anything. (So no Tim Horton’s yet, Jerry.) The physio’s are wanting to work on his upper body strength but aren’t able to do too much yet because of the broken ribs. Jerry has received lots of cards. I think I’ll take a roll of masking tape and put them on the wall for Jerry next visit. Right now they’re in the gift bag that brought them up from ICU. Thank you for your love and prayers for Jerry. Please continue to pray for God’s healing Jerry’s really come along well since the accident. It will be 4 weeks this coming Monday. Dr. Nousiainen (the orthopedic surgeon) said it would take 4 to 6 weeks for the bones to heal. Shalom, John
