Hi everyone, Thank you all for voicing your support for my work and the work of other artists being appropriated in this show. I have communicated with Larry Jones, the photographer, and he will be taking down and no longer selling the print of my work. Based on my exchange with him it’s clear that issues of cultural tourism and appropriation are not on his radar. I did my best to explain the ethical obligation he has to the artists whose work he is profiting from for his show. I stressed to him that the other artists whose work he his capitalizing on need to be contacted and notified by him. I provided what contact information I had for them and I hope this all gets resolved as soon as possible. At the moment there is no need for any hostility towards Alley Cat Books or Larry Jones. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate my community rallying around me and showing your support. Thank you again for having my back.
