Hi everyone, Todays lesson from our SEND reforms summer school - TopicsExpress

Hi everyone, Todays lesson from our SEND reforms summer school asks: What is a local offer? The local offer provides info on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care. The local offer should help parents understand what’s available, how to access it and what to do if something goes wrong (i.e. make a complaint). While the local offer isn’t a guarantee that a particular service will be available for an individual child, we think it’s a important new tool for parents and local agencies to plan and improve services available in their area. For more info see Section 4 of the SEND Code of Practice. https://gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/342440/SEND_Code_of_Practice_approved_by_Parliament_29.07.14.pdf .
