Hi everyone....Wallie here! I helped my foster mom with yardwork this weekend, and just wanted to share my pictures with you! I am still a lap dog even with my hotwheels on! WOOF! I had some issues in my past that the Rescued Rescuers aren’t really sure about, but they sure have made me one happy pup. I have something called IVDD (the long confusing name is Intervertebral Disc Disease), which means I have trouble walking. Don’t think that slows me down, though. The Rescued Rescuers built me some really cool wheels and bought me something called a drag bag. I’m more mobile than ever now! I have been working on my physical therapy, and I have some good days, some OK days, and some days I just don’t feel like using my back legs. Because it tool so long for me to get the physical therapy I required I will probably be this way fur-ever. We haven’t tried acupuncture or some of the alternative medicines, yet, but I have gone through laser treatments. I do pretty well with control of my bladder. I know I’m supposed to go outside, so sometimes I launch myself off the two steps from the house onto the back porch if my foster mom isn’t looking. That way I “do my business” out there instead of in the house. She doesn’t always leave the back door open, though, so I do sometimes have mistakes in the house. You should know that “special needs” doesn’t mean “less love” or “imperfect.” If you have a quiet household, would be willing to put up with occasional accidents and are willing to work with me on my physical therapy, I can promise you I will give you the best unconditional love you’ve ever gotten! I have a spark for life and will bring all kinds of happiness to your home! Thanks for taking the time to think about a “hand-capable,” special needs pup!
