Hi everyone! We had our monthly Red Rider meeting this morning with 21 in attendance. If you werent able to make it, heres what you missed: 1. Roll call if officers: 2. Treasury report- Montie reported $690 in our club account. Mike Valdez motioned the report with a 2nd by Mary Young; 3. There will be a benefit ride March 29th for Michael Engles aunt. He was not present today to give us more info so if you are interested, please message him for more details; 4. Spindletop spin is set for June 7, 2014. If you are interested in escorting the bicyclists on this 12 to 100 mile ride, please contact Larry Young; 5. Mary Young announced that there will be a link sale fundraiser at the Dogwood Festival the first weekend in April. Proceeds will benefit the Sinclair House; 6. Houston Ride for Kids is Sunday, April 27th. There is a $40 registration fee but $100 donation will get you registered, a TShirt & a chance to win the motorcycle theyre giving away. Registration begins at 8a & the ride at 10a. There will be a light breakfast & lunch served and a presentation. Mr. Robert Ballon was our guest today. If you would like to volunteer at the event, please find him the day of. 7. We need your help in raising money for the Ride for Kids. Joyce has candy for sale and she announced that Cowboy Powersports has allowed us to have a garage sale at the dealership April 4 & 5th. We ask that you donate any motorcycle parts, clothing, etc. please bring your items priced and to Troy or Mark at Cowboy Powersports starting Monday. We ask that you donate some of your garage sale earnings to the Ride for Kids. If you would like more info or would like to help out, please contact Joyce. 8. Some of the group went on a lunch ride today to Hemphill. 9. Moto GP will be at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin April 11-13, 2014. 10. Dana is interested in getting a ride together to Ennis, Tx, April 12-13, 2014 for the Bluebonnet Festival & a ride to check out the blooming bluebonnets. He will send out an email with the festival website. 11. Larry Theriot won $38 from the 50/50 drawing & new member James Anderson and Ron Keith won Ride for Kids tshirts donated by Mr. Robert Ballon.
