Hi everyone, When I went to Syria last year, there was a school for refugee children I visited. The school gave children the opportunity to back to school for the first time in 2-3 years. I was there for the opening of the school and the children were so excited and happy to be theyre. They were so thankful that they could go back to school. For 8 hours a day, they were in an actual building, away from the tents that became their homes. There was a semblance of normalcy in their lives. Yesterday, Assad bombed the playground of the school killing a 12 year old girl and putting another girl, also about 12, in a coma. All while Assad is running for president of Syria. Im mad, Im sad, and Im upset. I want you all to think about the amazing opportunities you have and I want you to care about what happened.
