Hi everyone...havent done a little rant in a long time so here goes. Please all you smokers take special note, not a cigarette smoker but Jerry is. Seeing me like this has got him back in the Chantix. Spent last Sunday evening in the Emergency Room being admitted. I just spent the last week in the hospital with what is called Plural Effusion of my right lung. It is a Severe lung infection where fluid fills up the lining around your lung, it was starting to fill with fluid around my heart. This illness went from a shallow breathing condition after foot surgery called Atelectis to Pneumonia that turned into the Plural Effusion. They tried to remove fluid by a needle in my back, didnt work. I spent three days with a surgically inserted tube in my side draining the infection away from my lungs and heart. The infection had even started to effect the lining of my heart even more by the Cat Scan at this point. Please if you are of age get a Pneumonia shot and stay well. This crept on me like a bad nightmare. When you cant breathe it gets awfully scary fast. Stay well my friends!!!
