Hi everyone, hope youre having a lovely weekend! The sun is out here in KillaloeBallina; hopefully it is too where you are. I gave you a taster of this little project on Wednesday, so thought I should show you how it ended up. Inspired by the botanical couture trend that is currently sweeping catwalks at the moment, this wire-framed bag is covered at the front, back and underneath with a layer of willow branches. It has a selection of leaves covering the sides, and ivy trailing along the handle, finishing to a point both front and back. It is lined with rhodedendron leaves, and the floral feature at the front includes peonies, geraniums, lily of the valley, rhodedendron blossoms, a selection of leaves, and lotus seed heads. These are all silk flowers, but this can be done with fresh flowers too. This is a great alternative for an country-themed wedding, or a lovely look for bridesmaids or flower girls, with plenty of room in the purse for all those emergency essentials!
