Hi everyone, its Destiny =) I cant believe Ive slept most of the day away, but it definitely feels nice to be asleep because then I dont need to deal with the pain as much. I see a lot of you have asked about cozy the heating pad I used to help wake up my intestines. Here are a few pictures so you can see the hook ups. Im on the floor that specializes in transplants (but they see everything) and my nurse said my surgeon ordered this for me to help with pain and to get the intestines moving. I asked her if I could take it home, jokingly, bit she told me they cost about $1300. And she knows that because so many patients have asked to buy it and take it home. With GP I suffer from severe constipation, and I want to make sure you know the difference between intestines that are sleepy from the anesthesia and just being operated on and constipation....Im not sure if this would work to relieve normal constipation. Anyways, its a pad that has little bubbles that is connected to the machine that keeps the water at 107° and the water travels through the tube and constantly keeps the pad hot. Its a simple set up, and helps a lot...just very expensive. I know when I return home, Ill no longer have this but will instead be using hotpacks from therapy to just help with the pain. Anyways, they are all extremely pleased with my progress! The feed is still at 65ml, but the only thing Im noticing that is so different with a slower feed is not as much cramping, and for that Im grateful, but good to know I can tolerate it at my goal rate =) Im exhausted and heading back to sleep. Thank you all for the love and prayers, I appreciate them way more than you could ever understand. Xoxox
