Hi everyone just wanted to update you all on Alice A lot has happened since the last update so to cut it short here is a summary. Since no owners had come forward; she would have been sent to the RSPCA. I had grown quite fond of her during the last few days. My biggest fear was for her to go to the pound and no one wanting to adopt her as a result of her injuries and ongoing treatment. She may need surgery in the future so could be costly. Dr Paul did an X-ray on her hind quarters which revealed cracks and fractures to the pelvis and Left hind leg (which will heal in time) but the worrying one is (in English) a part of her knee has broken and now the bottom half of her leg is very mobile. She has had the leg strapped up to prevent movement. With a lot of tears and phone calls throughout the day, I was going to take her home hoping to be able to find a permanent home in the near future as i am unable to keep her myself. BUT!!!! The lovely man who had the accident with her wants to adopt her! Knowing well that she may need more anaesthetic, surgery and possible ongoing issues. We will know in a few weeks if she is needing the specialised surgery or not. She is being collected tomorrow morning to start her recovery. Will will be rechecking her leg in one week.
