Hi everyone, this is Jon Gold. Sarah Van Auken, daughter of famous Jersey Girl Lorie Van Auken (one of the 4 widows that forced the creation of the 9/11 Commission) has written a play about 9/11. Here is what I wrote about it when it premiered in Philadelphia It was a wonderful experience. She shared some of the most intimate aspects of her life as the child of a 9/11 victim. She reminded us about how important it is to never forget what happened that day, how hard its been to channel the anger that she feels from the loss of her father, but also how important it was for her to do so. She reminded us about being blind to obvious problems that have come up in this country as a result of the attacks, and to question what we were told about that day. The end made me cry. Something I thought Sarah was going to do throughout the entire play, but did not. She is truly a professional, and so is Ellie Ruttenberg, the Director. If you have the chance to see this play, you wont regret it. Right now, shes trying to have the play shown in NYC. I think everyone in NYC should see this play. If you can afford to give something so they can show the play in NYC, that would be wonderful. Or, just spread the word. Thank you for your time.
