Hi everyone, we have a correction to make. We published a story online saying that a suspect has been charged in the death of Charlie Fisher from White Dog First Nation. Unfortunately, this was not correct. The OPP has informed us no one has been arrested so far in relation to Fishers death. We received more than one call from the First Nation this morning indicating that two young men had been arrested in relation to the death and were due to appear in a Kenora court this afternoon. A reporter was dispatched to the courthouse to watch the proceedings. A Whitedog youth who was identified to the newspaper by a source was arraigned on Monday, but as noted in the previous story, he is facing unrelated charges. The young defendant mentioned in todays story, who came before the court immediately after the first youth, is evidently part of an unrelated murder case. We would like to sincerely apologize to our readers for the mistake.
