Hi folks - in need of some grey community support! We have had this beautiful boy Charlie (aka Masheen) for 1 month now. He has settled in well, loves his stuffies, long walks, sleeping in until 9am on weekends, and cuddling. The past week weve had some issues, including him almost taking out a tiny dog that was in the large dog park.. Thank goodness he had his muzzle on and we pulled him off the little dog before he could do major damage. He also reacted to our 6 month old goddaughter the same way he reacts to squirrels - ears up, focused gaze, licking lips, and consistently trying to go to her - we just had to put him in the crate. Tonight, I was introducing him to a dear friend who was wearing a (real) fur vest, and he jumped up on her, and I think probably wanted to eat the vest. So we got her to take off the vest, but while we were sitting on the couch he came up and bit her arm because maybe the fur smell had lingered on her clothes underneath. For the rest of the night he remained focused on her. Needless to say, this is very disheartening and I dont want to feel like I have a dog that my friends and family are not safe around.
