Hi folks, Lynn here, once again. In the interest of getting all acquainted with the various people who help to run your community and its events, Id like to make a few introductions over the next few weeks. Lets start with me, and get that out of the way so we can focus on more interesting folk than I. Hi... Im Lynn, and Ill be your Prez for this year. As President, I am responsible for the following (as listed in the Articles of Incorporation): The President presides at Corporation business meetings, appoints volunteers to serve on non-elective committees, endorses agreements as directed by the Corporation, and must schedule at least two Corporation business meetings every year. free-spirit.org/articles.php Those are the basics of what it is your President is supposed to do for you. Currently, I am involved in making sure that our insurance for the following year is rubber stamped and ready to go. Additionally, Im working to get the next years budget created and approved ASAP so next years coordinators, as well as the ladies of our Presenters department, have ample time to secure the sorts of things that you all would like to see happen at your gathering. By the time the elections roll around for this year, you will have had 3 official meetings; two in Edgewood, MD, and one during FSG itself. I am also available to act as a conduit for information.
