Hi, folks! Save February 8 on your calendars. Paul Ehrhardt, our president-elect and head of our fantastic Maintenance Wing, is opening his shop for a Maintenance Wing/AIRO work day. Hell be routering signs and comment boxes to put out at the state airports. Come on by, there will be food, and its great food! This is not only a Maintenance Wing project, but an AIRO project. AIRO is our cooperative project with the Department of Aviation to help ODA monitor our state airports and fix problems quickly. So it ties right into the Maintenance wing, and Robin Ehrhardt, Pauls wife, and one competent lady (and an RN) is the new AIRO volunteer coordinator. Stop by the updated AIRO page on the OPA website and drop her a line to let her know if youre coming on February 8. Just click on the click here to contact our current volunteer coordinator link! She can send you directions and will know how much good food to have on hand! And while youre there, why not sign up to be an AIRO member at large? Thats what I am. You are not responsible for any one airport, you simply report on any airport you happen to visit. And youre covered under the states liability policy if youre working on a Maintenance project on a state airport. Its worth joining. Thanks, Robin, for taking this on! And as long as youre on the calendar, put a hold on March 29. Thats an Idaho Aviation Association work-party at Pelican Bar to fix some low spots on the runway. Were going to be cooperating a lot with our Idaho counterparts and this should be a great work-party. If you want to sign up or need more information you can contact Jerry Terlisner, 208-859-7959. The rained out date is April 5, the following Saturday. oregonpilot.org/airo.html
