Hi friends, My birthday is in 2 weeks and Im not one to solicit gifts, but this year, Id be so appreciative if you contributed to a cause close to my heart. Im going to Nicaragua this July with my church to bring clean water to a village. Today, women in many countries use jerry cans (containers we use to carry diesel) to fetch parasite-filled water from ponds that are shared with cows and goats. They attempt to filter the water through dirty cloth before giving it to their children to drink - knowing it will make them sick but having no other options.
