Hi group! without any doubt this group is absolutely great and lots of us actively contribute to the group on a regular base. Most of us have got one or two favourite DB albums but I am sure that each of us has got some DB songs he is especially keen on. So I want to ask you for 3 songs that you like in particular (either because they are so good, or because it was your first LP or you because you met your girl friend/spouse.....whatever...) Tell us a small story about these songs (three days in a row) ! Why does a specific song mean more to you than others (even it is not known as one of his best). I do not nominate anybody as you are all highly welcome to answer! So OK. Day 1 (and I start with a song that is regarded as one of DB´s weakest ones to show that you don´t have to focus on quality only) ;-) God only knows: This Beach Boys-cover was released on the Tonight-album in 1984 and I have a special relationship with the song because came across the song in 1986 when I was in love for the first time :-) Unfortunately we never became a couple but I remember listening to the song at least one hundred times. At the age of 15 the lyrics perfectly expressed what I felt for her. And therefore God only knows was one of the first pop songs that really moved me. Today I definitely have to admit that the song has its flaws BUT as this song introduced me to the huge DB catalogue, I still have a soft spot for it. Here it is ;-)
