Hi heroes! We have another really busy week coming up with a number of high profile events to look forward to. There are three big events that come to mind: Thursday, February 6th, 6:00PM Between the Panels Book Club This Thursday, the book club will be discussing Art Spiegelmans Pulitzer Prize winning graphic novel Maus. This week we will be discussing volume 1 - My Father Bleeds History. This is a milestone for the medium -- a biography of the authors father and his struggle to survive the holocaust. Friday, February 7th, 5:30PM Magic The Gathering Friday Night Magic Born of the Gods Release Draft ($15) This is the official launch of the new Magic the Gathering expansion - Born of the Gods. All attendees to this draft will receive a Born of the Gods Rare Foil promotional card! We will also be offering additional prize support! Our goal is to reach 32 attendees -- a goal that Heroes Beacon would like to achieve in order to qualify for the next level of product support from Wizards. (We need to have run an even with 32 people -- our largest event to date was 2 short!). We would appreciate any support we can get to reach this goal! Saturday, February 8th, 12:00PM Love Letter Tournament ($2, for IWK Childrens Hospital) Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck, for 2-4 players. Get your love letter into Princess Annettes hands while keeping other players letters away. Well be hosting a Love Letter Tournament with prizes (copies of the game!) as well as offering prizes for our Love Letter writing contest and costumes! All participants can get 10% off on board game purchases during the event!
