Hi i have been trying to get in touch with someone in the Burnley/Padiham area that runs your scout groups. I am trying to get in touch with leaders of scout troops in the area that might be intrested in donating thier old uniforms to be sent to The Gambia so children in poverty ridden areas might benift from these uniforms. Firstly let me tell you the basics of what were trying to do. F.E.W. (fewcharity.co.uk/ ) is a charity that send suplies and furniture to poor countries for children with nothing. We have resentley send a group to The Gambia to build two childrens play parks out side schools that we previously built and connected a water pump to give the town fresh water. In the gambia they have a scout band that used instruments that we have prevously donated but uniforms are out of their price range so were hopeing to get some pre loved ones donated to send out with a container unit were sending in March. Please if you think any of your troops would be able or intrested in helping with this cause could you forward details or information on how i could get any uniforms scouts had to donate.
