Id like to run a Foundation Coaching course in the off season, to avoid the big rush at the beginning of the season, give you some coaching confidence, and to give you time for some pre-season planning and preparation. The course is the first level of the accredited netball coaching courses, it gives you a background into what it means to be a coach, how to be a coach and some basic skills/drills to teach the fundamentals of netball. The Course involves 2 parts. Part 1 - online Beginners General Principles course - through the AIS website, it is free, and can be done in your own time - before we do the Netball Specifics (youll need a text book - I have copies for $20) General Principles Link: ausport.gov.au/participating/coaches/education/generalprinciples Part 2 - after you have completed the online component - 4.5 hours of netball specifics. (cost $30) On either a Sunday morning, or over a couple of afternoons/evenings. (not the weekend of the 29th of November, or Friday nights once Basketball starts - but any other time should be suitable) a) Are you interested? b) When would you be available?
