Hi, my name is Luann, a 9 lb 20 month old shih tzu . My foster mommy calls me Sweet Lu. That always sends me running right to her. She treats me really good, I was never treated good before you see. Before I came to FFD, I lived my whole life in a crate. I was really matted and covered in my own waste. So matted that the hair had cut into my foot and cut a huge gash in it. The foster mommy here made it all well putting special medicine on it several times a day. She would love me, pet me, and let me sleep curled up with her. I had never had any of this before. I love spending time with people and I really love kitties. Doggies are fun to run and play with too. Kids running all around make me very nervous so I would prefer my forever home to have older or no kids. I love my foster family a lot but I really need a home of my own. I am a very good girl...I will use potty pads when you arent home but prefer to go outside to do my business. I would prefer not to be crated since I lived in one my whole life before being saved. The foster mommy said she doesnt know why I have been at the rescue for 4 months. She said I am a real doll and would make someone the best little girl. You see, I think it is because I am blind. It doesnt bother me any but it freaks out people. That makes me the saddest girl in the world. I can do anything a normal dog can do except steps. I go outside with the other dogs, I run and play, I walk all over the house. I sleep on the foot of the bed at night and have never fallen off. Darkness is the only life I have ever known so it doesnt phase me at all. I am a very happy girl with a silly sense of humor. When I get really excited or lost, I spin in tight circles. The foster mommy said that is one thing that puppies do that were crated too much. When she calls my name I stop and run to her though. The foster mommy and Dr Kidd said I am very healthy and they think my blindness was a birth defect.
