Hi, my name is Mac and Im looking for a single person or a couple to adopt me. I enjoy an active lifestyle, long daily walks in the neighborhood, spending my time with my owners, playing on a daily basis to keep us both fit and mentally engaged and cuddling on the couch in the evenings with a comfy blanket. You must love to play fetch, have a treat jar in the kitchen, and love to scratch behind my ears. In return, I will be your most loyal companion, exercise partner and friend for life. If you don’t mind, I’ll even sleep in your bed at night, but of course that is not a requirement! I seem to be a mix of American Staffordshire terrier and hound of some kind and weigh around 45-50 pounds. I was born in about February of 2011 and was found wandering in the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, Texas looking for a place to land. I have a lot of energy to share with my active forever family! I am very affectionate and loving but with kids, my energy is a bit too much for them. I love them, but I get a little too excited and might end up knocking them over! I can’t be around little pets like hamsters, little dogs, or cats either because my instincts tell me to hunt them, not pet them! Must be the hound in me talking. Mac is currently located in Houston, Texas. Macs adoption fee is $150. Mac can be safely transported to some major US airports for an additional fee of $225 through the United Pet Safe program which includes travel certificate, crate, and airline fee.
