Hi my wife has let me know about your query regarding building with Simonds Homes. You may have spoken to me recently as I am a Sales Consultant for Simonds Homes in Albury / Wodonga. I have read the responses to your post and do agree with some 100%. Our base price is low and does not include some standard items for a complete home such as floor covering. This is done so that you only need to pay for the items you want . The fact our base price doesnt include some things is the very reason I have removed the base prices from my welcome books. Yes there are additional upgrades and inclusions that can cost extra. If you have spoken to me you have probably heard me talk about what your budget is and what you will get in that range inclusive of floor covers, driveway etc. But I absolutely can tell you there are no hidden costs. Every item is costed and shown for you. The building contract you sign is 100% fixed price. The only way people can be of the opinion there are hidden costs is if the Sales Consultant has not explained or shown everything clearly and openly. Unfortunately in the past this has been the case but not now. We do a fantastic job and I would be more than happy to meet or talk with you and provide honest answers to all your questions. We may be the builder for you or we may not. My offer to assist you remains regardless. Brett Argus
