Hi team. In a little over a month, we will be heading to the University of Minnesota for our annual mock meet. We will be leaving on Saturday, November 22nd and returning on Sunday, November 23rd. Please note that the competition will be cancelled if there is any significant chance of bad weather that would make transportation a risk. We will be staying at the University of Minnesota gymnastics teams club house to help keep the price down. However, there will be a small fee to attend for transportation. An additional fee will apply if you have not been active in fundraising this semester. Please remember that there are at least five more events for you to participate prior to the mock meet. Other than that, you will only be responsible for paying for your own two or three meals (Saturday dinner provided), so we encourage everyone to attend. For those of you interested in being competitive later on in the semester, we will be putting up one competitive womens and one competitive mens team. The members of this team will be judged informally against the University of Minnesota team. The format for competitions is 5 up 4 count for women and 4 up 3 count for men. If there are more than that many competitors for any given event, the board will decide who represents its most competitive team (though this shouldnt be an issue). If you are interested, please mark the date and make sure to get any important schoolwork done ahead of time. Other than that, it would be a good idea to start constructing a routine or talking with an experienced member to help get you started. Thanks.
