Hi there. My name is Ana Meng Canseco-Spiers and Im a student at Cleveland High School in Portland, OR, working on a research paper about dog behavior. Im specifically looking at aggression patterns between deaf and hearing dogs, so Ive put together a survey and was wondering if youd be willing help me with my research.I specifically need information on Aussies, both deaf and hearing, but would welcome any other breeds. Ive been rejected by a couple of rescues because they think that Im trying to promote the belief that deafies dont deserve a chance, but that couldnt be further from the truth. Though the research paper has to be objective, Im aiming to dispel the myth that these guys are inherently more aggressive and dont deserve a shot at having a great life. I work closely with deaf dogs and deaf and blind dogs through the volunteering I do with the Deaf Dogs of Oregon and love every minute of it.
