Hi there. My name is Jeannie Gee and this is my 18 month old - TopicsExpress

Hi there. My name is Jeannie Gee and this is my 18 month old pyrenean sheepdog, Kheva. She is extremely special to me and was Conceived the week my partner of 4.5 years split up with me. Her name means to hold/embrace as well as sounding like key, which she is to me. She is actually my second dog, my first being a gorgeous terrier called Jinty. Anyways. As you can see from the video, Kheva has just started competing in flyball. We are training agility and have done numerous obedience roles such as getting our Gold KC Good Citizen Award, doing the KC Good Citizen display at Crufts 2013 (aged 11 months), applying for obreedience in the main ring this year and being awarded the Obedience trophy by the breed club. On the 1st June 2014, Kheva had an accident. She was bowled over by another dog and started to limp. It took a few weeks to discover that the collision had destroyed the soft tissues holding her patella in place and meant she now had grade 4 Luxating Patella. It would pop out daily, causing her discomfort. Despite no insurance, an op was the only answer. 3:5 months, £2k, many hours of hydro, chiro, massage and building up exercises has resulted into the dog below and she is only just starting! She is already on turmeric, because her injury does mean she is more likely than usual to develop arthritis. We already advocate the use of turmeric to all our friends too! Even a few of my human friends are going to give it a go!
