Hi there, Terra Renaissance is an NGO working in Northern Uganda and every year we join other in celebrating the International day of Peace. Would you like to share this on your page? On Sunday 21st September 2014, Terra Renaissance in Uganda joined the rest of the world in commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace within and among all nations and peoples. The activities started with “Peaceful” Acholi dances , sack races, Rope pulling, Chair dance, Mock fashion modeling, Peace dancing competition and General peace trivia Questions. On this great day, each one of us must make on our own, a seemingly small, but significant contribution to world peace. We all know that the situation with regards to peace in the world is extremely unfavorable….there is war in South Sudan, Sudan, DR Congo, Central Africa, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Egypt and the Ebola epidemic in West Africa; We join the rest of the world in observing 24-hours of a global ceasefire and non-violence.
