Hi there, fellow Vegans (is that what theyd call us??? sounds like we dont eat meat lol) A recent post asked about Valerie Pida, Chaparral High School Class of 1985. If you didnt attend Chap with her, you might have heard about the UNLV cheerleader with Lymphoma that put off chemotherapy because she wanted to cheer at the championship basketball game. Valerie passed away 22 years ago. A member of our group, Laura Martin, works at Palm Mortuary. She informed us Valeries mom goes to the cemetery every day to manicure the grass around her tombstone and just to visit with her daughter. We have decided to send notes to her family to be presented to her mom right before the holidays. Laura is going to collect everything, wrap them all like a present and give it to Mrs. Pida. The deadline is December 15th Please no chewing my butt because I brought up a redundant post.... Lauras address was not easily accessible so I thought this would be easier. I cant tell you how proud I am to be a member of a group with such a big heart! The memories of Old Vegas always make me smile! If we were back in the old times, Id meet you all for a drink at Bottanys or Hueys Saloon :) You are all awesome!
