Hi to all visitors, supporters, helpers and promoters of the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. The final event of the season, our Autumn Open Day, takes place on Sunday September 21st 2014 from 10am - 4pm. It is our last chance to say thank you to everybody who has supported us over the last the year and have helped the Sanctuary to keep moving forward. Regular visitors will know that we now have new field shelters being constructed, a new barn extension, new fencing, visitor walkways and of course...........new donkeys!! 14 donkeys have arrived this year including, in recent weeks, 2 donkeys from France, Marius and Busby. We also have a mother and foal whove already made themselves at home and are being named by our local Primary School. All of these improvements have enabled us to do more work with youngsters, special groups, charities and of course people who just want to visit us and see the donkeys. The events for this Sunday are... ALL DAY - MARKET STALLS, VICTORIAN FUNFAIR, DOG DASH (a 15 metre timed sprint for pet dogs!!). In the Main Ring... 11:00am PARADE OF DONKEYS 11:15am MARIUS AND BUSBY - OUR FRENCH DONKEYS 11:30am BLOODSTONE MORRIS DANCERS 12:15pm ISLE OF WIGHT DOG SOCIETY, DOG AGILITY 12:45pm HAVE A GO DOG AGILITY 1:10pm LVB DANCE 1:30pm BLOODSTONE MORRIS 2:15pm WIGHT DIAMONDS MARCHING BAND 3:00pm NAMING OF MOTHER AND FOAL 3:30pm HAVE A GO DOG AGILITY You are all very welcome to come along; please tell your friends and family!
