Hi zane. Im 17, 18 in under a month. Basically I feel like Ive done everything academically correct, im in college playing basketball and doing good in my class. The problem is My boyfriend, first love, everything is a thug kind of guy. Hes currently locked up but I feel as his girl im gona hold it down. I know it wont be for long. Another problem, before he and I went official, I slept with my ex. We didnt use a condom and I know thats wrong, but I was just being stupid. I freaked out because I thought I was pregnant but I took a test and it said negative so I dropped it. But lately I have been throwing up and having back problems and fatigue that I say is from basketball but I have never felt it like this before. I told my boyfriend about us doing it without a condom but didnt tell him about the pregnant scare because I already saw the hurt in his eyes from when I told him. My boyfriend was always my FL but we never acted on it. However, we dated others over the first few years and now we are together. I honestly just dont know what to do right now. What if I am pregnant by my ex, he left to the army and my boyfriend is gone for a little while. I just feel stuck and basketball is everything right now so I dont know what to do. Im stuck. Please help me out. MY RESPONSE: Darling, get a pregnancy test and make sure that it is negative. I have a feeling that it is. Your pain may be from playing basketball or you may have caught a disease that is affecting you. Do not panic until you find out but you must see a doctor. As for your boyfriend, I am going to keep it real. You said that he is locked up and he is gone for a little while. You are too young to be holding anything down. You are doing well in college and playing sports and you need to keep your options open. Our first loves dont always end up being our soul mates. He can do nothing for you at this point in your life and you are in school around many other young men who can spend quality time with you. I hope you take my advice but you are not stuck unless you accept that situation.
