Hichilema’s PF Militia Case Adjourned to Sept 24 The Lusaka - TopicsExpress

Hichilema’s PF Militia Case Adjourned to Sept 24 The Lusaka Magistrates Court has adjourned the case involving UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to September, 24 for continued trial. Hichilema is facing one count of publishing false news with intent to cause alarm for his remarks that the PF government signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sudan ruling party to train Patriotic Front militia. When the case came up before Lusaka Magistrate Aridah Chulu the defence and the prosecution team agreed to the adjournment. Hichilema is alleged to have uttered the said words on June, 12, 2012. The PF government has been loading vocal opposition politicians with court cases in an apparent scheme aimed at silencing them. On Tuesday ABZ leader Father Frank Bwalya was acquitted of another of the many cases against the opposition. Fr Bwalya had likened President Sata to a potato that breaks when someone tries to straighten it. zambiareports/2014/07/16/hichilemas-pf-militia-case-adjourned-sept-24/
