High pressure will be the dominant weather feature over the next - TopicsExpress

High pressure will be the dominant weather feature over the next three to five days. The high is north of Lakes Erie and Ontario bringing an easterly wind flow. The high will move to southeast and begin to generate a southerly flow that will raise our temperatures and the humidity by mid-week. As a result, we will have a chance of late day showers and possible thunderstorms from late Wednesday through Sunday. THE TROPICS So far the Atlantic Tropics season has been quiet compared to the Pacific. We do have a third named system called Cristobal. As of the 5pm Advisory - Tropical Storm Cristobal Located: 185 Miles ENE of Great Exuma Island (a large island in the Bahama chain of islands) Maximum Sustained Winds: 45 mph Movement: North near 8 mph Minimal Central Pressure: 1001 mb Heavy rain is expected over the Turks and Caicos Islands of the southeastern Bahamas. The forecast track keeps Cristobal well off the east coast of the United States. However, Cristobal could trigger rough surf condition along the east coast for much of this week.
