Higher Everyday Wednesday, October 16, 2013 BOOK OF BOOKS! And I saw the dead, small and great stand before God; and the books were opened and another book was opened, which is the book of life... (Revelation 20:12) The Book of Life is the book where the names of the saints who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb are written. The Book of Life is reserved for those who overcome through Christ; those who have overcome every temptation, sin and trial and remain steadfast in the Lord without compromise. The day you are born again, by confessing all your sins, forsaking them and receiving Jesus Christ into your life as Saviour and Lord, your sins are forgiven and your name is written in the Book of Life. But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars will not find their names written in the Book of Life but shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. Where do you want your name to be written? Is your name in the book of life or in the books of death? The Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should be saved, through genuine repentance, faith in Christ and steadfast walk with the Lord. Challenge: Only Holy Living will keep your name in the book of life. Prayer: Father give me the grace to live without spot or blemish. Further Reading: Rev 20:11-15
