Higher education DG says WSU is bankrupt, he blames that on the unions. It does not look like there is a bailout for the mess. Understandably so, because we have been bailing out all the messy govenmental institutions. Bailing out WSU where some of the future nation builders are prepared will cost not more that a 1 billion rand, and proper leadership.But this seems to be very steep. Unfortunately, the tune changes when Eskom, SAA, etc need annual bailout,we speak bailout year in and year out( probably it is mainly because people have tenders there) .They invented Nkandla and already there are two institutions of higher learning being built there. Not to mention the genorous financial support we give to DRC,Swaziland, etc. Failing to understand the ANC government
