Highland Council have embarked upon an initiative Carbon Saving Capital Works for Council Buildings and Domestic Properties and have succeeded in becoming an innovative leader in the renewable energy and low carbon sector with specific emphasis upon biomass and support of the biomass economy in Highland. This initiative includes Implementation of non-Domestic Biomass, Solutions for Inefficient Domestic Dwellings off Mains Gas Network, Non-Domestic Solar PV Project and Embracing and Tackling Challenges
