Highly underrated is South African weaponry yet extremely effective. we still hold one of the most powerful fully automatic rifles (R5,LMC,HMC &G3) which put the American (m16) to shame. The American tactical ground assault vehicle the (MRAP and M-ATVs ) comes from a South African Blueprint of our assault vehicle seen in the apartheid era called (Hippo) With Reumech manufacturing the Mamba 4 × 4, TFM sought to develop a new mine- protected, lightly armoured vehicle, specifi- cally for export markets, which were now (post-1994) open to South African defense companies. The result was the RG31, which benefited from the experiences with the Casspir and Mamba. The launch customer proved to be the United Nations (UN), in 1995, followed by the first order from the US Army in 1996. The latest versions are the RG31 Mk 5E and Mk 6. With that being said: it must also be said that American troops have been spotted in South Africa with SANDF doing training evolution and using South African weaponry....
