Hiked at Torrey Pines Reserve this morning - down the beach from the parking lot and then up the cliff trails from flat rock and down Torrey Pines Park Road. So excited to be getting in better shape. While we hiked, we came upon a crowd that was taking care of a hiker that fainted. The hike is very steep and rocky and it was hot out today. As there was care being given, we passed and went further up. Park rangers and paramedics passed us with a stretcher - we had to stop to see how they were going to be able to get the girl out. A SDFD helicopter arrived and we witnessed an airlift - they dropped one man down on a tow and he picked up the girl in a harness and was towed back up into the helicopter with her in his arms. AMAZING thing to see. Really hoping the girl is okay.
