Hilarious conclusion to NYTimes front page story about Bryan Colleges new requirement for faculty to sign a statement of faith that Adam and Eve were historical persons created by God in a special formative act and not from previous existing life forms. The college president says in the final lines of the story: This is something thats important to us. Its in our DNA. Its who we are. We have have a new research agenda: find the genetic code that tells us that we all descend from Adam and Eve. Heres a clue to pursue: its probably coded backwards, from right to left.
