Hillary Clintons views are at war with the values that most progressives share, so much so they should reject the its her turn argument and see the Clinton agenda for what it is and always has been. The times are just too critical for primary voters to pay blind obeisance to the identity politics that has entranced the Democratic Party since 2007. Whether First Lady, Senator, or Secretary of State, shes pushed to expand every war and every defense budget. Beholden to high finance, she has always opposed a Financial Transaction Tax on even the riskiest of Wall Street derivatives while urging on the banking deregulation that collapsed the US economy 6 years ago. She remains adamant in her opposition to a single payer healthcare system, one that would be much more comprehensible and doable than the morass of complexities that was Hillary-Care and is Obama-Care. At State, she has pushed for the expansion of the same type of free trade agreements that Bill Clinton signed. Remember those treaties that eroded our manufacturing base and cost us millions of jobs? Husband signed NAFTA in 1994, while wife has secretly negotiated the terms of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), apparently oblivious to the fact that our trade deficit with South Korea has already soared by billions. At State, she fired whistle blowers such as Peter Van Buren and ordered the surveillance of about every foreign diplomat at the UN, which eventually extended to lifting credit card numbers or stripping DNA off discarded drinking cups. Though the nations chief diplomat, she seemed more comfortable in the role of warrior, flying the world over to support military missions against secular Arab regimes like Libyas and Iraqs; ginning up further Arab hatred for the US, she unwisely laughed aloud about Gaddafis death and then bragged that she had conquered. Its amazing she that she did this for the whole Third World to see on YouTube. And hers is a most unusual kinship with the many recently disgraced warrior- generals, all of whom have effusively praised her in their memoirs, probably because she didnt launch a single major peace initiative in this war torn world of ours. ~John Wolfe, 2012 Democratic candidate for President
