Hillarys campaign is back in the news on matters of race. After a long litany of racial inequalities that set the stage for the events in Ferguson, she says, Imagine what we would feel and do if 1/3 of all white men went to prison during their lifetime. But wouldnt the answer to such a question depend on whether or not a crime was involved? Is Hillary suggesting that we should be more lenient on Black men doing time for the crime or that more White men are doing crime without time? Truth is ... its less about race and more about who has the money that can buy the most expensive lawyers. I think the more important discussion ought to be about economic and political privilege (how much $$ is in the bank and who you know).
