Hiring Now: Regional Learning & Development Officer - British Embassy Visit Middle East Jobs >> bit.ly/midejobs Please Follow >> bit.ly/mideastjobs Grade: Band 15 Location: Dubai Reporting to: Regional Learning and Development Manager Contract: 1 year fixed contract The Role The British Embassy in Dubai has a vacancy for a full time Regional Learning & Development Officer (RLDO). Reporting directly to the Regional Learning and Development Manager, the RLDO will be responsible for delivering soft skills and management training for all staff based in the Middle East, which forms part of a wider network including North Africa and South Asia. Extensive travel across the Middle East region will be required, with some travel within the wider network. Account Management • Consult with Post leadership to conduct overall learning needs analysis to ensure learning & development needs are identified. • Recommend that the right mix of Learning & Development (L&D) interventions (70/20/10) is included in the L&D Strategy, in the Post Account Plan and are in-line with the organisation, Post, teams and individuals needs. • Cultivate relationships with Posts by maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders in order to support them effectively. • Share best practice with RLDT Network and other Posts. • Support thematic accounts to assist them in achieving their business objectives, working with thematic leads and London Liaison Officers. Design and Development • Keep up to date on global Learning & Development trends, ideas and innovation. • Design and contribute to the development of RLDT training courses and L&D interventions. Delivery • Deliver RLDT and Civil Service Learning courses as well as other learning interventions to staff located in the designated region and across the RLDT network. • Incorporate both formal and informal developmental approaches in training delivery. • Deliver management, leadership, core diplomatic, team development and soft skills training. Evaluation • Review evaluation forms and available level 2/3/4 data to determine effectiveness of RLDT courses, CSL and other learning interventions. Implement revisions to materials as necessary. • Provide continuous feedback and recommendations on design and effectiveness of RLDT offer to the global network.
