His Eminence will preside at a meeting of the Metropolis Council tomorrow at Holy Cross Church in Mt Lebanon, PA. The Council is comprised of (1) the Metropolitan, (2) the Chancellor, (3) 8 hierarchical appointees, (4) 8 Elected clergymen, (5) 8 Elected laymen, and (6) a number of non-voting ex officio members. The Metropolis Council typically meets 2-3 times per year. This is the final session of the current term of office; the Council that was recently elected will begin its work following the conclusion of this summers Biennial Archdiocesan Clergy-Laity Congress.
