His beatitude Michel Sabah, The Roman Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem , articulated the following message on the recent events at Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem: “ Prayers in Jerusalem have unfortunately become an act of hostility. All People have the right to pray. In fact, it is their duty to pray. But, it is unacceptable that their prayers become a battle cry. Else, their prayers turn into a crime and a sin. Some Jews want to pray at Al Aqsa Mosque of late. But, instead of praying , they seek to seize the place and drive out its age old worshippers. This is not how we perceive praying to be. This is a tug of war against Muslims. Praying in fact is embracing your brothers from all religions, and praying to God almighty to redeem and forgive them. Only then will your prayers be heard, and only then will God’s Peace glow in your heart and the heart of your brothers . Only then, can brothers yearn together for the realm of the Almighty, and can accede to it. Usurping a Holy Place by force is not praying
