Historical Ramayan facts Er. Jitender Kohli Published on 08/08/2013 in Jammu Kashmir NEWSPOINT On 08/08/13 in Early Times The secular politicians behave like having no faith on the Hindu religious literature submitting affidavits in the Honourable Apex Court of India to prove the Ramayan as a fiction and Lord Ram never existed. To prove the facts there are many physical and scientific evidences which Hindu majority believe and the secular politicians laugh on. In this effort to bring some time calculated facts to fix the period connecting with the history to fix when Lord Ram existed. The traditional descriptions and present computer aid has enabled to arrive at the ages of some of the important events dates in Ramayan to provide a historical support. When Maha-Rishi Valmiki wrote the Ramayan he gave the dates of some of the events in the tune with the position of stars and planets. According to him, the time of Sri Ram’s birth is given as Chaitra Shuddha 9th and Punarvasu star and five planets were in exalted positions i.e. Sun near 10 degree, Jupiter 35 degree, Saturn 200 degree, Mars 298 degree and Venus 357 degree. When Sri Ram’s coronation was proposed, he had completed 17 years of age, Sapta dasha cha Varsha. The Sun, Mars and Rahu were positioned in Mesha as it was Chaitra month. From it is that Sri Ram was born on 4th December 7323 BC. The two Yagna conducted by Sage Vishwamitr were performed in Vasanth Ritu i.e. from 21st February to 21st April. Since the first Yagna of Vishwamitr was polluted, he went to Ayodhya and returned with Sri Ram. He must have started the second Yagna in the second week of March. As per Katyayn Gruhya sutra, Yagna would end on the full moon or new moon days, or a day later on the next Prathama. After completion of his Yagna, Sage Vishwamitr and Sri Ram proceeded to Janaka’s Yagna. On the second day of the journey, there was moon-rise at midnight (1-34-14-17). Hence the completion of Janaka’s Yagna must be Krishan Paksha Prathama. Two days later come Krishan Paksha Tritiya-Chaturathi. It is known that the moon rises very late at mid night on Krishan Paksha 3rd or 4th day in the spring or summer i.e. in the months, March to May. It is stated that Janak completed his Yagna on Magha Nakshatra. This was Suddha Pratipada, so the month was Bhadrapada. Ram- Sita marriage was performed on the third day of Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra (1-71-24). It was Bhadrapada Shuddha Tritiya. Janaka’s Yagna took place in the spring (Vasanth) i.e. before 21st April. Now-a-days in April Sun is seen in Revati or Ashvini but at Ram’s marriage the Sun was in Magha. Thus there is shift of ten stars. Due to precession, the equinoxes slide back by one star in approximately 960 years. Hence Ram’s marriage must have taken place about 9600 years ago. In this case the equinoxes did slide back ten stars. Further calculations from the birth date of Sri Ram (4th December 7323 BC) shows that Ram married Sita on 7th April 7307 B.C. Three days earlier on 4th April 7307 BC there was Amavasya in Aslesha, according to Valmiki which means that the Sun was at 119 degree at that time. The Equinoxes slide back at the rate of one degree per 72 years. On 4th April 1981, the Sun was at 350 degree, so the Sun has shifted back 129 degree. Hence it must have taken (129x72) 9288 years for it. So deducting 9288 years from 1981 it reaches to 7307 BC which is the year of SRI Ram’s marriage with Sita ji. Valmiki says that Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, all cornered the Moon in Pushya on the day when Sri Ram went to forest. Besides, according to Sage Valmiki, Sita pointed to Sri Ram, that it was Thursday. By mathematical calculations and analysis through computer, it is a fact that Sri Ram went to forest on Thursday 29th November 7306 BC. By another calculation it is found that Sita stayed in Ram’s house for twenty months from the date of marriage and hence left for forest with Sri Ram on 29th November 7306 BC. Thus a few dates of the incidents of India’s two great Epics, Ramayan are arrived as is a fact. Ram’s birth 4th December 7323 BC Marries Sita 7th April 7303 BC Goes to forest 29th November 7292 BC Hanuman in Lanka 1st September 7292 BC War Started 3rd November 7292 BC Ravan killed 15th November 7292 BC The historical evidences and the references in one and another religious and historical literature of different religions and period have less or more referred the happenings connected with Lord Ram. Telling Ramayan as a fiction makes the society to laugh on the literacy maturity of the so-called literates who have many doctrines passed or bestowed upon. Practically each religion have referred one and other great men in their literature of their time as Saints, Rishis, Peers, Pagmber, Lords including Sri Ram. This is another reason which one literature praised a particular great-man more then other of that era as the writer is dominated where he lives in. There should not be any conflict in the religious sects no politics on it for the vote bank. The religious priests should be very fair to the society in teaching the best of their religion ignoring those references which may make one fanatic, aggressive or creates hate for other. None of the greatmen has expressed hate for anyone but infact they have taught to respect and love human of the universe. They have never drawn lines between human and the Almighty though their era language dominated their speech, one may call him Khuda, Prabhu, Waheguru or God but each asks to love advises to learn adoptability and adjustment which tells Live and Let Live philosophy. Society must learn from it and reject the political web which divides on religious and regional cards.
