Historically, Latvians worked hard all spring, summer and fall just to store the proper amount of food for winter. That was, of course, before they invented refrigerators. They had their own methods of a kind. Me - I just invite everyone (my friends and friends of friends, that is) hungry and interested in a breakfast or lunch, or dinner (the latter - Friday), whenever you can come. For my fridge broke. Lots of salmon sandwiches tomorrow by the way - stop by at the Latvian Embassy in Kazakhstan!
