Historically the U.S. will fight for the freedom of other countries. We have always been the big brother for democracy. We will begin with diploymacy, imposing economic sanctions, including freezing bank accts. & imposing travel restrictions on Russian leaders. In agreement with Chris, we are committed with NATO & the European union & because of this, we will be deeply involved. As far as the U.S. troopers expression of non involvement, his opinion is correct! More than half the population of Crimea, which is part of Ukraine have Russian background & this will be a civil conflict! (Vietnam) And Chris, you are wrong in calling this trooper a coward! Look at his patch! 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Screaming Eagles, from Fort Campbell, Kentucky....
