History? We dont give a damn about history. This is not abstract nor about winning nor looking good nor even politics per se. This IS about using our democratic republic to improve our nation. I have faith, however, that not only history- whomever he is- will judge Obama as an incredibly productive, wise, tough and incredibly skillful politician whom, despite the most fervent obstruction, passed some of Americas most bold, important and progressive legislation all while turning Bushs Crash of 08 into a path of economic improvement and more peace. Then, it will most likely see this Congress, minority filibuster dominated, as beyond divisive, as perhaps the most destructive anti-government group of yahoos ever. But, again, this is just pointless speculation. Since your gang is losing the big argument, and has been for quite some time, and since The President has most Americans on his side you seem to have resorted to claiming that (only) history will judge Obama unkindly. History be damned. Folks are suffering NOW! No passing the buck. Our president is firmly and steadfastly against this blackmailing. The government shutdown is firmly on the Republicans, as surely as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It does everyday.
