History is getting to repeat itself as the Waterbury Board of Education is under control of the mayor. I wrote this note a few years ago and here we are and we still cannot get it together in Waterbury, Connecticut. I was talking Kevin Johnson tonight at the Board of Education where one of two Board of Education members who are black are up against some heavy odds in getting things done yet none of our community is there to support them. Karen Harvey was attacked in public by the mayor and as always it seems we just do not care but I stood alone in her defense sad to say, this note was about Karen back then and here we are today and where is our community? Tonight there should have been hundreds there but we are to busy fighting each-other the oppressor always wins, whats wrong with us her we are about 4 years later and they left me standing all alone once again. Well theres another board meeting in two weeks because they are not going to do what I said!!
